Hypnobirthing For High Risk Pregnancy

Hypnobirthing for a high risk pregnancy can be an incredibly useful tool for mums who fall within this category and want to ensure they are prepared for their birthing experience. Pregnancy alone can be quite daunting sometimes so it’s really important to prepare as much as you can if you fall within this “high risk” category, which is where hypnobirthing can become your best friend.

High Risk Pregnancies

High risk pregnancies can be caused by any number of things including using IVF treatment, being older than a certain age and having twins or triplets. You should speak to your doctor or midwife to establish whether you are deemed high risk or not before doing your own research online (the internet isn’t always the most correct or useful information, especially when self diagnosing). If you do fall within this high risk category, you are not alone. Many women can be deemed high risk for all sorts of reasons, particularly if you have had difficulties in the past. This is why I work with mums using KG Hypnobirthing techniques, to support and prepare mums with at higher risk during their pregnancies.

Pregnancy Risks At 35

As you get older, your chances of getting pregnant become slimmer. While this isn’t necessarily a risk, it does limit your chances of getting pregnant and any complications once pregnant can, at least, seem more significant. After the age of 35, a woman is often considered a higher risk due to the higher risk of having a miscarriage and you actually are more likely to have twins or triplets which can lead to complications. Conditions such as diabetes and high blood pressure are also more likely in women above the age of 35 which can also pose a risk during the term of the pregnancy.

Why Hypnobirthing?

Hypnobirthing is a useful tool for mums to enjoy and prepare for birth. Pregnancy and birth can be an incredibly emotional drain, particularly those at high risk, which is why I make sure that some of the more psychological aspects of pregnancy are covered during my hypnobirthing courses. Providing support is my biggest priority during your experience.
